The Canadian Museum of Water (CMW) is a proud member of the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET), a UNESCO initiative dedicated to enhancing global water awareness.
With over 100 museums across 39 countries, WAMU-NET aims to engage 500 million visitors by 2030.
Since our incorporation in 2022 and digital launch in March 2023, CMW has become Canada’s sole museum focused on water stewardship, celebrating Georgian Bay’s heritage through dedicated volunteers.

We acknowledge that the present and future Canadian Museum of Water (CMW) is situated on the traditional land of Huron-Wendat and the Anishnaabeg. We seek to actively decolonize, honour the land and water, and learn from Indigenous values and teachings.
